In late May 2021, news broke of the discovery of the remains of 215 Indigenous school children buried at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, a school operated by the Catholic Church between 1890 through 1969 and then by the federal government until it closed in 1978. In this episode of Campus Beat, we are joined by Dr. Alexander Braun, a geophysicist in the Department of Geological Sciences and Geological Engineering and cross-appointed to Physics, Engineering Physics, and Astronomy at Queen’s University.
