February 7th– Dr. Ciara Bracken-Roche, a recent PhD graduate from the Department of Sociology (and current Postdoctoral Fellow in Criminology at the University of Ottawa) shares insights, advice, and encouraging remarks about preparing for, successfully finishing, and moving forward after the PhD thesis defence. Dr. Bracken-Roche visited us after giving a presentation entitled “Navigating Canadian Drone Space: A Sociological Analysis of the Stakeholders, Narratives, and Policy Shaping Canadian Unmanned Systems,” on January 24th 2018 in the Queen’s University Surveillance Studies Centre Seminar Series.
